It’s me!

Let’s get the basics out of the way first: I hail from the hilly wilderness of Northumberland and now live in a mad city called London. I have a cat, too many guitars, and I’ve been writing since I could pick up a pen.

After completing a degree in English from the University of Liverpool, I originally moved to the capital to pursue an acting career, which was an expensive lesson in self expression, adaptability, and an appreciation for being applauded for doing my job - something which isn’t nearly as common as it should be.

After that, I had a successful career managing a store for a luxury English shoe brand, providing a deeper understanding of footwear and classic style as well as giving me the opportunity to lead a team and really learn how to sell a product and story.

I've contributed content to notable brands like wilko.com, Cheaney Shoes, Whistle Punks Urban Axe Throwing, and my work has been featured in prestigious publications including Square Mile Magazine, Saphir, and Gentleman's Journal.

I’ve always been creative. When I was very young, the only way my parents could stop me crying was to give me a pen and paper so I could write or draw something. I have since learned to do it with less drama.

I am an unapologetic perfectionist when it comes to accuracy, with an uncanny knack to pick out spelling mistakes, unnecessary apostrophes and superfluous word choices (like that one.)

In my free time I like to make my own cocktails, much to my wife’s delight, as well as play guitar - usually in that order.
